I am Poppy Summer Goodway, and I am a Birmingham based Illustrator with the aspiration to create story-based work that engages and connects with it's audience. My work spans across children’s picture books, Book covers, character design, product design and storyboarding. With a focus of designing memorable and emotionally rich characters and world for audiences ranging from children to young adults.
Due to my narrative visual language and insight, I approach every project first as a story. This is not only useful in developing characters, environments and visual worlds but an add unique hidden meanings into singular illustrations. Whether working with children picture books, storyboards or product designs, I include a whimsicality, cosiness, inclusivity and connection to my audience, in every piece.
